01

Deal with immediate safety

Call emergency services when needed, move only when it is safe and lawful, and obtain appropriate medical attention. Follow official instructions rather than trying to investigate in traffic.

02

Record the scene

Keep the report number, driver and vehicle information, witness contacts, original photographs, road and weather details, and the location of possible cameras.

03

Organize insurance contact

Record each company, representative, claim number, request, and document. Ask for important requests in writing and seek advice before signing a release you do not understand.

04

Prepare lawyer questions

Ask how fault, vehicle data, video, medical documentation, insurance layers, deadlines, fees, and communication would be handled.
